Hearty and Flavorful Homemade Doenjang Jjigae Recipe

This hearty and savory doenjang jjigae is not only delicious but also nutritious, with various vegetables and meat included. Doenjang jjigae is more about individual family preferences rather than following a set cooking method. However, the basic idea is to boil doenjang in water with various vegetables and desired ingredients added. doenjang jjigae stew 


  • 1/2 onion
  • 2pc All Purpose Broth Tablet Add to Cart
  • 1/2 pumpkin
  • 1/2 mushroom
  • 1/2 potato
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 1 T minced garlic
  • 1/2 tofu block
  • 2 green onions
  • 10.5 oz beef chuck
  • 16.9 fluid oz water
  • 2 beef stock cubes
  • 2.5 T doenjang (soybean paste) Add to Cart

  • 0.5 T red pepper flakes

How to make:

  • In a pot, add 16.9 fluid oz of water and 2 beef stock cubes, then bring to a boil.
  • Add potato to the pot.
  • Dissolve the doenjang in the boiling water.
  • Add onion, pumpkin, mushroom, and minced garlic.
  • Once the vegetables are partially cooked, add gochujang.
  • Add beef chuck and anchovy sauce.
  • Finally, add chili pepper, tofu, and green onions, and let it simmer for a moment.
